Dead faction A.I cannot play for shit.
I think I have played 15 games and never once did they make it beyond bottom place and last 5 mins. Please do not add new factions if the A.I is not capable of playing them.

They're all dead, what did you expect? j/k
Agree with threadmaker. IF a new faction is added and supporting AI not included - post it prominently in the release notes.
it does take away the value of a DLC that you paid for when it's great if you use it, but when you don't use it and expect to be entertained by the AI using it you will be sorely dissapointed.
I'd like a refund for my purchase of this DLC to be honest.
Unfortunately, the software industry is the only industry where you can't return a defective product (or one that didn't meet your expectations) because you already "opened the box".
IMO, software (of all kinds) should come with a built in counter. As long as you don't run the program more than 2x, you should be able to get a refund.
Generally the AI programmer is not going to be involved in the cosmetic DLC options after the game has been shipped. Honestly, I never buy DLC expecting new challenges. I buy it for new sparkle ponies and such. Besides, if the DLC further balanced the game or improved the AI the argument on the forums is "Why do we have to pay more to fix a broken game?" I challenge one person to disagree without lying out their ass.
I would be okay if it worked but since it doesn't I paid for something that only works when I play the dead. So if I want to play anything but the dead it's like I threw away my money.
Its pretty clear from the last few DLC that Stardock is putting minimal effort into these. I personally find it distasteful, but it is probably a good business strategy on their part. Realize it, keep it in mind for future DLC (in other words, I wouldn't advise that you buy future DLC is you have high expectations), and move on with your life.
I seen the dead AI expand to like four cities once. But he was my neighbor and I killed the dead and that was the end of the lucky AI.
And it could be more worse, after all I just did this and the AI completely fell for it allowing the one knight do this look at all the corpses around it? Yeah ![]()

While other guys on the knight's team was just watching and eating popcorn as that one knight trolled all the enemies.
Yep, this has frustrated a number of us. I made a mod to help the AI play The Dead better (though it does buff The Dead by giving them additional unit options as well as population growth from the unique Undead Improvements), but at least they aren't simply one city fodder now.

Hopefully this mod will become redundant soon, but we can keep our fingers crossed in the meantime...
Why would they want to play with shit, don't they have snow balls where they live?
Dead people do not have Olfaction.Shitballs can be done in summer too.
I understand the feeling you express. A long time ago I realized that the typical AI is not going to be challenging unless it is restricted to a small set of tasks. Trying to get an AI to compete well in a 4x game, managing the entire scope of an empire is probably 10 years away. So, when new 'content' comes out for a game, I treat it as eye candy, or brain candy - stuff for me to play with. The AI sure won't.
