How To Create Dreams

Hello.. I just purchased DeskScapes 8 for my Win8.1 custom PC, but I notice there's barely any dreams that are high resolution.. So I got the thought that maybe I should create my own. I came to the forum to see how this might be done, but I can't seem to find that information anywhere. Would someone inform me of the process by which dreams are created or link me to a place that shows how this is done? :)

Ah.. Thank you very much :)  I was going to actually ask for a refund since there are barely any HD dreams available for my system, but if I can make my own, I might still stick with it.. Appreciate the link ;)

Grrrr.... DreamMaker is not compatible with Windows 8.1.. Guess there's just no hope for me with DreamScapes 8.. :(

EDIT: Actually, there are 2 files.. Second one which is the one that popped up in my programs list wasn't compatible, but the first file before the ObjectDock folder in Stardock in Programs(x86) seems to be working :)

There are plenty of HD dreams out there and 95% of mine are.

I'd like to know where.. Every one I download is blurry.. There's maybe 1 page of HD dreams that are clear and crisp.. However, I've started to create my own from HD background loops.. :)

Most people will state in the description if they are HD and what resolution they are using.  I would suspect there's other factors going on that  you are seeing blurry .dreams.

Have you tried installing with the Compatiblity feature and setting it for an earlier version, like Win 7, for example?  I had to do that to get SoundPackager running on my Win 8/8.1 machine... it works like a charm.  Can't promise the same for DreamMaker but it's worth a try.

Graphics card and/or drivers, perhaps?  It would be worth checking out if there's a driver update and/or whether your GPU meets the minimum requirements to run DreamScapes in HD.

Hope you get it sorted. |-)

Uhm.. I have a GPU that plays my games on ultra. Have a $1200 custom built computer and a $200 GPU.. My compatibility runs circles around what this program uses :p  I know for a fact every driver is up to date and I can handle a 4k monitor.. ;)  And yes I used the compatibility feature in Win8.1.. I did happen to state I got it working, didn't I? :p  But there are really only a handful of HD dreams, meaning my resolution or higher.. I looked though pages of dreams and only found maybe 3 that were appealed to me and were HD.. But it's alright, I made my own :)

Yeah, it's good to know that you're a happier camper now.

Thing is, when I was throwing around ideas, I wasn't aware of your system specs, or your driver situation, so I suggested the GPU and drivers because often these are the reason things don't appear on screen as they should, and people sometimes forget this.

Anyway, you are now able to create your own to your own liking and specifications, and like they say: "All's well that ends well." :)

This is great cause the Brooklyn Botanical gardens cherry blossom trees are in bloom. Would love to take a few videos and make dreams out of them.

Windows 8 doesn't have mpeg2 by default though. Will that be a problem?

I downloaded the codecs for free using third-party software.. Just gotta watch out for those that are virus/malware/spyware related ;)  But yeah, if you don't have the codecs for mpeg2 then you won't be able to activate those dreams that are created using that file format

Shoot, you still around?  It's been that long I thought maybe some men in black suits might've bustled you away in a dark van with tinted windows.

So how have you been... like, get any closer to locating the bunkers where the gov't stashes all that alien tech?

Personally, I think they've been hiding some of it in plain sight.  I mean, take a look at those Secret Service agents with the blank, expressionless faces.  Now they gotta be cyborgs created from alien tech, haven't they.  Like what self-respecting human being would wanna be seen in public looking like that? I know it's true, trouble is proving it.

:-"

And there I go again, hijacking yet another thread with yet another conspiracy theory... sorry. O:)

As for mpeg2, you can download K-Lite codec packs at majorgeeks or some such similar site to handle those files.
