I just flipped through the skinner list at http://www.koasati.net/pix/index.php
.

I only hope that camera technology back then was SO bad that we actually looked better than it appears.

Heh! Feels like something from the 80s and 90s.

Steffi's in California, last I heard. DC is in Oz...I'll poke him.

Haven't heard much from Steffi, though.

Now where's Brad?..........He started all this many moons ago |-)

cerebrojd...yeah, he was really young back then. well, compared to most of us, he's really young now. looking thru zubaz' list of skinners, i realized the kid i was asking about is doctornick. and that cynder-elluh gal, i've met her. she's one very kind and polite person.

digital_trucker? is he still among the living? i think he was the guy who would logout of irc and come back as silentbob to kick out unruly people.

i know graypony passed a few years back. he used to skin the old music player called MusicMatch. he was darn good at it, too.

essorant? chadimus? radialfx? t-man still at stardock hq? davidk was super nice person. RIP, guy. i miss Stumpy, too. iplural? china pretty much dropped of the face of the earth.

Doctor Nick now works for Basecamp, the project management software company. He is a full-fledged programmer and a father. (NOW do you feel old?)

I pinged PJ earlier and I'll send Nick an invite.

So this site has been around for 13+ years now? Wow ...

When Doreen has parked her Zimmer frame she can come sit on my arthritic knee. Hopefully it'll do enough damage that those tight arsed ortho sugeons at the local knackery will be moved do the fechen surgery I've needed for the last 10 years.

Oh, and Doreen, that was not a remark regarding your weight or how big your bum might be... my knee is in such poor condition the only way I can bend it these days is if I inject a pint of Castrol into it first. And don't get me started about how often at night I have to get up to pee. It's gotten that bad I'm sure my bladder called up insomnia and said: "Oi, I've got this chump getting up so often now it's not worth him going to sleep." and between them they've conspired to keep me up most nights.

/me goes look up what a Zimmer frame is? And me no sit by either of you guys since I'm forced to sit by my boss all day the last thing I want to do is be forced to sit by anyone else on off work hours!!!

/me waves hello to starkers...

Quoting Doreen, reply 190Doreen tosses out the dreaded "huggles" to everyone since Jafo tossed out "my" customized "Kissy" icon! (I don't see it in the emoticon legend)

Don't blame me.....it'll be that bloke called Andrew [he might be Canadian - and gets the blame for everything] ...

Well, it did kind of look a bit funky it sometimes looked more like a duck than a kissy icon...

Hey you're too old for me now! Oh yeah, I got old too? Alright me goes grab my cane and go have a seat next to you but only after you change that funky avatar of yours (it looks as bad as mine) hehe

Perfect! I just polished up my custom chrome walker too.

Let me comb my hairs (all 7 of them) and grab my teeth quick.

Uh-oh... I forget my "quick" isn't what it used to be. Can we make an appointment for a week from now?

Damn arthritic hip... maybe we'll just shout across the room for the time being.

/me shouts across the room to that DaWebMassa (I'm really happy to see you around still too!)

14, I think...

US laws [COPPA] meant anyone 'here' had to be 13 or over [or have parental consent]...;)

When everyone remembers where they were and what they were doing on 9/11 ... I was on ICQ with Dave.... he said a plane had just hit the Trade Center......and I said 'what...fog?'....

jafo, i remember very well what i was doing on 9/11. i was reading the Indianapolis Star website and had the Today Show on the tv. I heard about it first from Matt and Katie. they thought it had to be a private jet. When we all saw the second plane hit on live tv, i then turned to CNN for the rest of the next few days. Aaron Brown was the anchor's name, i think.

i also remember my first foray into #stardock on irc. i had just installed a skin which had a dark explorer window background instead of white. that dark background made ms word impossible to use. i started bitching about it in #stardock within seconds of entering the room. mikeb314 started telling me how to change it. well, the creator of said skin was also in the room but remained quiet. i didn't know who had created it and i was ranting about dark explorer backgrounds. when i found out who created the skin (mikeb314 told via icq, msn messenger, or yahoo messenger) and realized i had insulted the guy in #stardock, i went back in there to apologize. well, he had uploaded a revised version earlier that day to include a lighter explorer background. when i met mike in detroit, he introduced himself as the guy who made the skin i was ranting about. we both had a good chuckle over it.

Holy cr@p, just trying to work out if I've died and this is some sort of skinners graveyard, or just some freaky reunion????

Martin! OMG dude how the hell are you???

Man we shared some laughs and some frustrations. I am still grateful for your help on the DX stuff.

I was alerted to a gathering of oldies in the forums and thought I might check in and make sure no one had fallen and hurt themselves.

Hi Hippy, and greets to the rest of the old guard. It's good to be back.  \o/

Gotta say though, accessing the forums on an iPad on 3G from here is gorram atrocious... And that's not even mentioning the ads! It took me about handful of times to post this.

I know Jafo, strange huh? I lost touch years ago w/ David and his wife Crowdeer (hence why I thought it strange to be thinking about him so suddenly a few months back) and though I never physically met them they shot vibes to me through the air that felt like they were the sweetest and nicest couple I never met!  I hope his wife is okay? Do you know if Crowdeer is okay?  I feel so sad to see that news.  But maybe he is here in spirit!  If so, he'd not want a sad mood so you guys carry on...

Sadly, the old account, with my much lower user number, no longer exists

My original user number was much lower as well. My join date is actually 5 years earlier than what you see beneath my avatar.

I wish I could get that user number and join date back.   I miss PuterDudeJim....X|
