Lead designer Paul Boyer and I are broadcasting live to the Internet at large again tomorrow, playing some Galactic Civilizations III and taking your questions. Catch it at 12pm Pacific time (3pm Eastern, 9pm CET for our friends across the ocean) on the official Stardock Twitch channel.

This may be a silly idea, but since the internal build doesn't have anything super-exciting to show right now (it's just bug fixes so far, but we have BIG PLANS. PLANS SO BIG YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW), I'd like to get an Elite Founder to join in for a multiplayer match with Paul and producer Ray Bartos. That sound good to you guys? Everyone who is interested, post in here and I'll roll some dice or something to pick someone randomly.

Eternal forum shame will be visited upon the winner if s/he doesn't show up tomorrow, so please make sure you can make it if you enter ;) I'll post the winner first thing tomorrow morning and PM them the info they need to sync up with us (we'll want to get connected shortly before the stream goes live, of course).

I'm also thinking that because GC3 is so freakin' huge, we should have a theme for each stream. This week's theme: Warfare. Come strapped with your questions and thoughts on anything war-related, from planetary invasions to ship battles to how the Drengin pick their targets (hint: deliciousness).

Finally, this week's stream should look and sound a whole lot better -- got some new things in and fixed up the setup so this should be a little more pro. Hopefully.

Just an advice, don`t do it with DARCA. He is on a flaky wireless connection that will just result in a game Crash and you guys will look like Bill Gate and the BSOD.

That sounds interesting but don't roll for me. Cannot guarantee presence. But it does sound very fun. :D

Edit, also, presumably, StarDock will be hosting the game. So in relation to this scenario, your adversary should be hosting.

Okay just because I've played both of you this is what I know completely unbiased.

Evilwar, I played a continuous game with no interuptions.

DARCA, I never played for more than a few turns.

Come to your own conclusion, DARCA I know you told me that you use wireless and it was unstable, not saying that you aren't a good player or that anyone shouldn't play you but, it's hard to play if you loose connection. :(

I disagree with the way Evil presented it as it could have been done in a better light.

When Max tried playing me again after some "minor" CTDs he wouldn't wait 30 seconds for it to connect! I waited for him to connect which his" unreliable" and slow internet, he should be patient too!

Me and PR played a full game uninterrupted when he hosted and it was a long wait for the map to load even with his internet.

I just hosted a game with a person named élè and it was fine untill he had a err. Max and me played without a problem untill his turn button froze.

I...AM...PERFECT!!! :)

Daylight Time not Standard Time :) Noon is Noon, but the timezone changes for the foreign consumers that are not on Daylight time, might be a bit confused.

LIES! It wasn't even thirty seconds. But you did try it (impatiently) a few times. If you say otherwise I will post the send times of our steam messages and they won't be anywhere near three minutes from start to finish. (DARCA smiles as he* nearly presses the send button. But then realized steam deletes messages after a day.) :( Ok so it's your story vs my story. But you left out the part were you told me you are a Yor and messed up the connection because you were losing! Lol

EDIT: I just realized something from watching the first stream:

 

Those looooooong walls of text that pop up every now and then to explain an event (but don't have any immediate options to choose) should be placed into a sort of event log for multiplayer purposes. In multiplayer, out of courtesy, i try to go through my turn as fast as possible but if someone wanted to read that wall of text, if there was a "history" log for them, they would be able to review it during the enemy turn.
