Submit it here:

...and according to the guidelines you cannot change it once submitted.

The guidelines are pretty clear and you are asked to confirm before pulling the trigger.  /shrug

DARCA.

Incorrect.

  1. Only ONE entry per user. You will not be able to change your entry once it is submitted.
  2. Any inappropriate, trademarked, or copyrighted content will result in the entire entry being rejected.
  3. Star names are limited to 16 letters (no punctuation or numbers, please), and will be converted to title case in-game (only first letter capitalized).
  4. Numbers and punctuation are acceptable in first, last, or screen names.

If you feel the rejection was in error, you can contact [email protected], but the ones that I have been rejecting have been mostly copyright/trademark related.

IF it was can users have a option to change it ? totally read my copyright law incorrectly and thought the name was in public domain but when reviewing saw the estate passed on and still is valid :/

Nope. That's it. It was your first and final chance. You no longer get a to name a star. Your name will no longer be in the credits either. Your badge will also be removed on the next server update. Any DLC that you were expecting will still be available upon launch, but will be deactivated 12hrs later. You can however re-purchase the DLC at a later time if you desire. Did you even read the EULA?

In all seriousness though, it sounds like you made an honest mistake. Just email [email protected] and let them know it was an accident.

I'm asking for some tweaks to it so that people can change their name.

It might be nice if the list of approved names was alphabetized rather than a disorganized mess.  I had to scroll thru that huge and unwieldly (too small of visible area) list several times to find the approved name I submitted.

I entered a ticket to support.  They have not been able to tell me much.  They do not know why my entry was rejected or whether I will be allowed to resubmit.  I was asking what was wrong with my star name so I could either appeal for mercy or figure out what to modify.  Since my star name and credits name are related, I do not know if my credits name was accepted or rejected.  The last communications I got told me to wait, and then later asked if they could close the ticket.

My ticket is IUI-515-31321.

Spaces and numbers will be allowed up to 16 characters total.  Star naming will end near when the beta starts, so estimated next month maybe.  Don't wait until the last minute.

Names that have been rejected are because they were either a possible copyright/trademark issue, something completely silly, or something that would most likely not pass final editorial review.  My advice would be to resubmit a different star name when the updating is available.
