[suggestion] Asteroid Eating Ship

Can we have a Devourer type ship that will eat asteroids on the map and give a large production bonus to a planet.

Would a mining outpost work for you?  That's already in the pipeline. :)

I know, but mining outposts do not destroy the asteroid.. I want to destroy them  }:)

Or Maybe a late game DeathStar Like weapon could transform them into Dust clouds. Sure to piss off your adversaries :grin:

Well, I'd sure be. There I am, having spared no expenses to turn Alderan into a asteroid field, only for someone else to come along and turn the field into a dust cloud. #:(

Also, while looking through the game-files, I found a "BuiltPlanetKiller" and a "UsedPlanetKiller" entry in the DiplomaticModifiers.xml. While definitely interesting, it is also quite disturbing considering Frogboy's stance regarding genocide runs.

That actually moves. Faster than a turtle. An imaginary dead turtle on its back. If there is a single thing that disappoints me of GalCivII, it's the death stars.

I sometimes eschew transports entirely in favor of terror stars, just so the AI knows they suck at the game.

 

It helps when you build several hundred, however.

Yeah, the Terror Stars in GalCiv 1 were so much better. I really miss my Happy Fun-Time Base of Ultimate Doom (Terror Star fitted out with all culture modules).

Don't forget the mining modules for whatever resource you built it over. After all, who wouldn't want to be visited by the Cultural Embassy and Mining Base of Stellar Destruction? We're just trying to provide employment opportunities for all those layabouts in alien systems while improving their culture.
