Gal Civ III ALPHA not available on STEAM after activiting product

from Stardock Forums

I entered my product key on Steam's "Activite a Product on Steam" process and it accepted my product ID, but it did not download anything.  Am I doing something wrong?

Steam says it should be available later this afternoon.

The alpha is not available yet, so no downloads are ready yet.

That is from the communications we have with Steam.  It's not posted anywhere on Steam.
