Hey everyone --

Just a quick update that we plan on opening up submission for star names and your name to appear in the special thanks credit on Wednesday, April 2. 

We were planning on having star names go live on Thursday, but decided to delay it so that Founders could specify their own names as they'd like them to appear in the credits (rather than just pulling your name as it appears in your Stardock account). This way, Founders who would rather have their screen name or forum handle appear in the special thanks section can have that instead of their proper name.

This has been a Very Special Edition of the Galactic Civilizations III Founders' Forum. Thanks for watching, and as always for your awesome support!

What I did was go to my Stardock Store downloads and copied the key from there into Add A New Game in my Steam.

They are allowed as long as the total name doesn't exceed 16 characters.

For the credit names am I able to stick in a normal and screen name?...so something like:

 

NAME 'EvilMonk3y' , LASTNAME

Is there a closing date for this? Just I'm having computer troubles at the moment, so might take a little while to get the star name done.

Yes, as the thread says when it gets close to the beta as the Founder's Elite will be discontinued.

Try not to wait until the last minute though. ;)

If spaces are allowed, I'm confused why "Craig Springs" is getting rejected...am i just missing something obvious? I honestly wouldn't be surprised, I'm kinda out of it today... X-)   

 

(and I'm pretty sure that first name "Abby", last name  "Normal" isn't the problem...again, unless I'm missing something obvious X.X)

That is disappointing. Especially considering that game already have stars such as:

Alpha Ceti
Capro Core
Cor Caroli
Delta Ceti
Gamma Alpha
Gamma Theta
Nova Rigel
Palain Seven
Pax Atlar
Theta Iota

 And then the submission form gave me 500 Internal Server Error. :Sigh:

At least it worked the second time, after re-logging-in and re-entering the short name (without space this time)
