Atmosphere in GC3 first impression?

Hello,

Today've seen a video of the Alpha, at first glance, it looks very good, but what I would like response is the atmosphere of the universe.
So I am now speaking only for myself but it seems to me that the background and the entire cosmos stars and fog very lonely and empty look, the fog kind of look from very artificial. Could not make movements more background so that the whole a really cool sci fi atmosphaere has? Comet? black holes which also rotate or possibly galaxies in the background also rotate very slowly, small supernovas, light flashes Simply insert more movement in the universe in the background.

Would like to hear your opinion so.

But do not misunderstand Stardock the game still looks very good!

GalCiv II had an option to tone down the nebulae. There'll probably be one here as well.

Too soon to judge something like that.

Yep.  He wrote that the footage was from an earlier build - before what founders will see this week.

Even screenshots in Frogboy's PDFs look better.

I see little point in discussing it or analyzing it when it's way out of date and when we'll be hands on here shortly.

the atmosphere of the universe

Mostly extremely sparse hydrogen at about 2.7K.

Seriously though, I would not assume any graphics you see at this stage are final.

Are there plans to upgrade the graphics for launch?

Way way too early to judge the aesthetics.  Most of the lighting effects aren't even in the game yet.  The particle system isn't even in (hence no weapon effects).
