How do you to deal with AI when a player drops?

1. Say your playing a 5v5 and a player drops from your team, how do you react that an AI has

taken over? For instance, if your eco on your team, do you still feed the AI like a human player

or is that a waste of resources.

2. Is it possible to manipulate the AI to do your bidding? For example, can you ping choke points

for the AI to attack or defend. Or offer cash incentives to attack a vital planet.

3. What do you do if your next to the friendly AI and human enemy? Are you forced to increase

your efforts defeat your opponent.

4. What to do if the AI replaces a human player who was in the eco slot?

1. Probably a waste of resources, unless your human players have good economies themselves, but that is probably good game.

2. In theory yes, but I'm not sure how viable it is in practice. Even if they do the strategic things you want, they're still going to fall to the AIs tactical problems, which human players will exploit to defeat them much more easily.

3. If you're not too engaged with anyone else, redouble your efforts and try to defeat them yourself so the AI doesn't have to.

4. Ouch. Better hope you were winning on the frontlines. If you're losing, probably gg.

As a general rule, the AI in this game is retarded compared to what a human opponent can do (which is why I have difficulty understanding why so many people are content to just playing the AI).  As a practical matter, here's what happens: When a player on your team drops, you evaluate your situation.  Was he a top player, a good player, an average player, a mediocre player, or a noob?  Is your team currently winning or losing?  What position was he playing?  Losing an eco-slot player is often an automatic game-ender.  Can your team win the game in a 4v5 from here on out?

I find offering a space pony as a sacrifice is a good tribute to get the minidumps on your side. Just make sure to substantial quantities of barbecue sauce.

I've actually found that AIs are more than adequate replacements, even surpassing some humans in skill. For example, if somebody drops at the beginning of the match, the ai gains a ridicolous income bonus that causes them to sometimes surpass the ecos income level. They can even have HCs up and ready in sub 40 minutes...

It depends on the skill level of your game.  If everyone is really competitive, an AI is not going to do so well.  If you lost a bad player and had him replaced by an AI, no harm done.  The single biggest problem in the Sins Rebellion era is that an AI is more than happy to level up an enemy titan.
