[Bug] Vetrar wildlands won't open

from Elemental Forums

After defeating Vetrar, the arctic area is supposed to open so you can settle there, however after a few attempts this never happened. I did a fair bit of searching about it on the forums and one it may have been a result of him being outside his area. However the other  times I killed him while he was still in the arctic. Every time the quest was initiated.

 

Apparently this has been an ongoing issue since the legendary heroes beta. Has there been any fixes for it? I read there was a mod to help, but apparently it broke with one of the updates.

Is there any way we could get the devs to include this in the main game?

best to integrate the fix to the bug into the main game.

Any fix we apply on the xml side of things is not ideal. It has to be fixed internally for the best results, I wouldn't expect them to take any of our fixes to this problem as a fix for the game. I'd like to see if it fixed appropriately, but wouldn't expect this fix for the 1.6 patch.
