Blocking Auto-Building Upgrades

I have looked for a way to do this with no success.

 

I (unfortunately) researched the Industrial Complex. Now every time the damn game hiccups, all my Manufacturing Centers want to upgrade. This is an immense game and I have over 100 planets and taking those out of the build queues take a lot of time.

 

This happens if the game crashes, it happened when I agreed to a Peace Treaty and sometimes if I just Alt-Tab back to windows.

 

I do not want the ICs as there incremental cost is not worth the benefit - 6bc/turn for 10mp with a MC vs. 10bc/turn for 12mp with the IC unless the square has a bonus. This is a ToA game.

Any help would be appreciated. I simply cannot believe you cannot block this.

Go to the Colony Management screen of one of your worlds, then click on Details. There, click on Governor and disable "Auto Upgrade Improvements as they become available". You will then have to do this at all of your colonies.

There is, sadly, no simpler way to do this for a lot of planets. That is one of the reasons why I changed the improvements in my mod so fully upgrading them is actually worthwhile.
