What's Your Favorite Food or Dish?
Like the title says, what's your favorite food or dish that you just can never get enough of?
Mine? Well I'd probably say chili.

Homemade vegetable beef soup.
Oven Grilled in a tray; sliced potatoes & onion with 5dl of cream served with Tender Filet of beef + Redwine-truffle sauce.
Or Szechuan dishes with Jasmine rice
Pot Roast with potatoes, carrots, onions and celery and some fresh sourdough bread with butter.
My smoked BBQed spareribs. If you smoke then BBQ w/ charcoal no restaurant can touch them.
A medium well Filet Mignon and lobster tail. Problem is, I can't remember the last time I had them, so I have to settle for Lobster bites at Long John Silvers when they have them.
But then again, I like a lot of Mexican food, and Italian food, and Greek food too, (sorry, but no lambs brain).
Hmmm...

Mine?

Mine is called a "marriage-soup". There are a lot of different variations of it, depending on where you live, but the one I know contains liver dumplings, semolina dumplings, bone marrow dumplings, and (optionally) fried batter pearls.
The only part about it I don't like is the name. It's just... depressing.
Wow. tough question to answer. So many great foods, even though i am usually bit conservative in this regard.
Anyway, in general i like those variations of chinese foods, i mean pieces of chicken/turkey breasts with rice, vegetables and some kind of sauce...and corn! i like sweet corn.
Steak & Chips ....;)
Baby Back Ribs.
I crockpot them for 6 hours in Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce, a little apple juice, and onions until they're fall off the bone tender, then move them to the grill where I put a BBQ sauce glaze on them. Served with cole slaw, grilled corn on the cob, and baked beans.
Had them today as a matter of fact, all but the corn. Lisa and I could only eat like one or two ribs, but everyone else ate heartily.
salmon sashimi with soy/wasabi dip..
ain't that the truth.... just started BBQ smoking... on our second smoking... and addicted... wow.. the flavour......
love lambs brains... crumbed and with bacon....
and tripe... in a parsley white sauce.... and cow and lamb's tongues... ![]()
everyone's favourites sound delicious...the marriage soup I've never heard of though... can't quite imagine it... but love bone marrow... tastes similar to fish eyes...
Fish and Chips. Sounds simple, but rarely found fresh and properly executed.
channa masala (chick pea curry)
Meatloaf, garlic mash potatoes & crushed corn.
Cabbage, sausage & potatoes.
Pork, sour kraut & mashed potatoes.
Potato & bacon soup.
Beef stew & dumplings.
Stuffed peppers.
Steak & potatoes.
Chili.
Pot roast.
Baby back ribs.
Chicken noodle soup.
Just for starters. I make all these things myself. I usually use a 16 quart pot to make most of them in.
Pizza. Always pizza.
Mine... see food... cos there's just too much nice stuff to have only one favourite.
In other words, if I see food when I'm hungry, I'll eat it... 'cept brussel sprouts and fresh pineapple... acid burns my gut like a bitch.
grilled king crab
barley black-pepper risotto with zucchini (the barley stands up to longer cooking-times better than arborio rice)
shredded, seasoned and sauteed kohlrabi (when in season) or chopped romaine lettuce with peppers, english cukes, tomato, and feta
or
grilled whole steelhead trout
tomato and basil risotto (for this one I use arborio rice)
homemade garden salsa on slices of sourdough bread with a touch of goat cheese
plain steamed green beans
Good ol' British Fish and Chips from a seaside resort on the north east coast of England........Boxxi and Fuzzy will tell you ...............unbeatable...........unfortunately a 10 hour flight from Denver!
I couldn't really come up with just one. Let's say, Northern Indian cuisine, and leave it at that. ![]()
And not just from the North of England.... South Devon Does bloody nice English fish n' chips... especially around Torbay, which apart from a holiday destination is primarily comprised of 3 main fishing towns, Torquay, Paignton and Brixham.
