Modding Star Density

Is it possible to edit the effects of the galaxy settings more importantly the star density. I want to mod it so scattered is more, scattered.

No, all those settings are hardcoded.

that sucks, is their any other way to make stars more scattered, any mods or maps, I hate it when I select scattered and some parts of the galaxy are void of stars.

I'm just glad you can see the star layout right from turn 1 and if you don't like it, ctrl-N till you get a scattered layout.
