I waited a week to see if Giz came in or anyone else for Docks. That is why I decided for the community I would give it a try. Patience.

I agree with Jim (and others). The pink flowers aren't as appealing as the original yellow ones. They simply don't blend in as well and look out of place.

neone6... people are just giving COMMUNITY INPUT. Change it, don't change it.. no big deal but it would be respectful and COMMUNITY MINDED of you to treat people with some dignity when they offer suggestions. Weather you mean it that way or not, your remarks concerning our suggestions are coming off as snide and arrogant.

I'm not implying anything of the kind!! You wouldn't have volunteered to do the blind if you weren't. I'm saying that the impression you are giving off regarding suggestions and input have not always been perceived as being conducive to community participation. No need to read between the lines and turn it back on me for pointing it out.

I am not liking the direction this thread/project is taking.

I have all but lost the urge to skin anything as of late (if anyone has noticed) and this deal isn't helping.

This project has been an uphill battle so far, and I think it best if I just bow out.

Please remove me from the list.

I haven't the time, nor the urge to be in a "community" project that seems to have very little interest of the community, and what little interest there is is being met with a "my way or the highway" feeling about it.

It just doesn't "feel" like community.

Sorry folks. I have a lot going on with life, still dealing with surgery after effects, diet, weight loss, etc.

I'm stressed enough and the way this project has been going, I just don't want the stress.

I dont have so much time to do alot of skinning anymore, but ive decided to do a mini icon set for this community suite

i guess there is a communication problem.

as far as i understand it, the preview was just a concept using somebody else's graphics. so of course those can't be used.

while i agree with you that the original is even better, i can not really see much wrong with the traced version. it's pretty cool actually, i wish i could do that.

i think this is a mistake. a biosphere theme kinda asks for substyles as there is so much more to it than just a little pond.

in my opinion the whole project seems a little rushed at the moment. i'd guess that might alienate some people. i'd slow it a little down. get more involvement and let people contribute. there could be a poll what substyles people would like to see (snow, dunes, underwater, etc.).

and of course don't do that all on your own. invite some of the photographers here and make them part of the project with their best nature shots. even with PSs default filters one can create something nice.

There are probably a million ways to do this, (Nice mountains Moshi) but I am tight on time even to do this one style.

I can´t do more. This Startmenu for instance concists of four (4) Individually cut layers for the "Stretching" not to affect the skin, Plus the startmenu animation layers. That means Cutting up the startmenue 4 times and setting the margins individually, and you´re asking for substyles... as I said I take as much time as I can.

-I´m not rushing, believe me ! This type of Blind can´t be rushed, however I´m trying to work at a good pace as I thought people wanted it as soon as possible.

I get the chance to say 'you're probably too young to remember the first 'community skins'' .... but the process was a fairly long-term project where dozens of skinners joined in.  There was/is never a particular 'need' for just one person to do 'all' of a Windowblind [for example]...if more variations were needed others could just grab whatever graphics were organized to date and create their own additional ones....with everyone keeping an eye on whether the various versions suited the theme....continuity-wise.

Simple example....the Heavy Equipment theme/suite/Community Skin had 2 Litestep themes .... one by Dmer and one by me.

Other 'components' had duplicates/versions from the ideas of separate skinners....

No reason that can't be done here too...;)

Yes, this is being rushed for no reason at all.  This skin needs to have community input, and if that's not going to be taken into consideration, then this whole needs to be looked at again.

It looks Like I´m not the One to do the Blind afterall then due to what it seems to require & don´t have enough time I´ll withdraw my skin and graphics.

-I will release this skin At a later date as an individual upload with another name

Hopefully someone else with enough time on their hands can create a WindowBlindsskin for this project.

Sorry, but this is one blind I just won't be using. The very first mock-up appealed to me, but beyond that, I lost interest.

I do not care for the flowery look on the exterior of the start menu, or the pink ones on the inside either, for that matter. Besides, how would flowers be growing on the outside of the Biosphere?

Aren't those things built to provide an enclosed livable environment  in a normally unlivable, hostile location? (No water, toxic gasses, no oxygen, etc.)

That being said, I think the quality of the work is excellent and I'd love to see something from Andy in the future along this line without  the flora.
