Steam OS password

need help from gurus

I have searched the steam helps library and found no help. My PC logs me into steam automatically. However, I need to log in from another site (humble bundle) to install some software. When I attempt to do so, HB opens a dialog box, asking me to log into steam. This dialog box requires a password for stream. I don't know the password. Going in via PC does not allow me to change my PW unless I enter my current password, which I have forgotten. Any way for me to get at it? Did I moss something in all the help documentation? I have a ticket with steam customer support... taking way too long for such a simple request. Thank you all

just use the usual "forgot password" stuff... (there's some secret question or something i think) to get steam to reset it and allow you to pick a new one

unless you are talking about something different altogether... i'm assuming you are talking about your steam account pw... no idea about steamos..
