How to change Explorer "Views" vertical slider menu font and background

I've looked and looked... but I can't find where to change the Explorer "Views" vertical slider menu font and background.  Skinstudio has a vertical sliders section; but, it's only specific to the sliders; but not it's background or font.

The background is the same image you define for: Edit start menu pop up menus

start menu pop up background.

The text and selected image:

edit additional vista and 7 parts

view menu item. :D

You were right about the backgound being the same as the start menu popup background. Thanks so much!

However, the the font color isn't changed under additional vista and 7 parts/menu item.  Interestingly, the font/color can be changed under Theme part details/Explorer style Me/Button/Text.  Not sure why it's in such a odd location.

Thanks again!

Actually if you define an image for this area: Edit Explorer/IE Parts, Edit Additional Parts, View Menu Item, you can change the font color for that image in the Text settings. That is the mouseover image for that area.

That makes it even more odd.  Since the rest of the text on the menu (everything but the mouse over), is in a completely different place: Theme part details/Explorer style Me/Button/Text.  At least, that's the only way I know how to change that non-mouseover menu text.  I guess, there's no easy way to group shared items.

It would be great if one day they make an elaborate  WYSIWYG Windows GUI sandbox within Skinstudio where we could just click on any Skinstudio-modifiable item; and, Skinstudio takes you directly to where you can change it.  I think this is how Skinstudio should have been like in the first place.  I'm guessing it might be too difficult to implement; or,  Stardock would have done it a long time ago.

Yes it does, if you define the image.

I'm so sorry to doubt you.  You're absolutely right!  I should've known I was doing something wrong.  I had to define the image (per your suggestion) in order to be able to change the text color  Thank you!  Thank  you!  Thank you!

Just curious DT, are you using SKS 7?  I only ask because that area (edit additional vista and 7 parts) does not show up in SKS 8 that I can see.  Maybe that is why the confusion between my post and yours. o_O

Yeah and I knew right off the op was not because I never heard of" Theme part details/Explorer style Me/Button/Text",  but figured through in my two cents anyhow!

I also should have been more specific as to defining an image as you were!

My bad all around.

Been using SKS8 since day one here DT, and other than the normal bugs that were pretty well the same in SKS7 you should be able to use it just fine. :)

Went back to Sks 7 after the "Millenium bug" Is there any real need to upgrade to Sks 8 as 7 works with WB 8 ?? :\

If you are still designing for XP and Vista, then SKS7 is needed, but if you are only designing for Windows 7, then SKS8 makes more sense as they got rid of a lot (not all) of the stuff for XP and Vista.  If you are designing for Windows 8 at all then SKS8 is a must as there are some strictly Windows 8 items added.

Oh, and what the heck was the "Millenium Bug"? o_O

Yeah, I figured they got rid of xp stuff. That's

is why I said sick of deleting xp sections.

No windows 8 yet, so I will stick with what I have for now, thanks for the info Lightstar.
