Random Christmas Time Thoughts

I don't know about you but when I get time off of work, I end up thinking about lots of random things.

In no particular order:

  • Very proud of the people my kids are becoming.
  • 20 year wedding anniversary is in a few months. Gotta start thinking about what to do about that.
  • Very excited about some January announcements Stardock will be making
  • I wish I had more time for skinning
  • I am addicted to Battlefield 4.
  • I suck at Battlefield 4
  • I am grateful for the friends I have.
  • I wish I had created an alias to debate and participate on our forums rather than making people uncomfortable by posting as myself.
  • We're taking care of Paul Boyer's (GalCiv III lead designer) dog for the break. She's incredibly sweet.
  • Soren's new game may be the funnest game I've ever played and yet I have no way to describe it as there's nothing similar.
  • I can't believe how good the development tools have gotten over the past few years.
  • I need to tell Spyed (deviantART) that my sons are using his site independently of me.
  • The Russian Tortoises ate all the foliage in their terrarium while I was in Maryland last week.
  • I need to wrap the bee hives still for the Winter. They don't really need it but it helps keep them warm.
  • It was probably a bad idea to give myself a haircut yesterday.

I've resorted to just clicking the razor to number 4 and going over everything above my shoulders twice a month.

I taught my 97 year old Grandpa how to use his brand new Kindle Fire today...I set his solitaire game up and 2 minutes later an ad for Christian Singles pops up on screen. So I deleted THAT version of the game.

ive been told it looks a bit military, or buddhist, but the procedure does leave a beard on my face equal in length to my super short hair, so i don't think it looks too off-putting.  i feel friendly none-the-less.

The thing about cutting your own hair is you can't just do it once. It's a skill that you need to work at. Everybody sucks the first time.

My wife won't appreciate that advice. :)

Your top 3 and your number 7 aren't random thoughts during Christmas time. The top 2 and number 7 should be with you all year as they are important life things. The rest of them are thoughts and wishes. If you suck at Battlefield after all this time I would guess you enjoy playing and continue to suck or give it up.

Unless you plan to shave your head totally I would strongly suggest you don't even think about giving yourself a haircut. At least the hair on the top of your head.

Nah...they're just the staunch leftovers from its previous popularity, not fashion pioneers....;)

I have a pet Russian Tortoise!  His name is Morla and he poops a lot.  He also occasionally calls me racial slurs and flicks lit cigarettes at me.

And the learning curve is steep, and everyone who sees you knows how well you are progressing. :)
