My appreciation for the pizza delivery service

My wife and I looked out the window today and saw that the roads look like crap. It's cold, icy and low visibility. don't want to get into an accident driving, I'm a terrible driver. So what do we plan to do in this situation?

What else, order pizza?

Then the thought occurred to me. I am not driving because the roads are crap but I've having some kid brave the harsh elements to provide me a box of deliciously goodness. I'm now torn between my desire to taste the wonderful sensation of garlic butter, parmesan cheese, and pepperoni and the fear of the well being of some kid.

So I'll make sure I tip him good. Ok, that's a thought then my other side of me says is an extra couple bucks worth a fender bender. The agony of such a decision.

Yep, pizza place wants to make money, driver wants to make money, you want to eat pizza. Go for it. Besides, I'm sure the driver is insured, so as long as the driver and the pizza doesn't get injured, it's all good. :pizza:

And I am absolutely sure the pizza delivery person is making a living wage.

Well, you don't usually know the exact driving conditions when you order online. It will take at least a day or two to reach you and its likely in an entirely different part of the world. When you order Pizza, especially if you order it because of bad weather, you know exactly what your deliverer is going through.

Imagine ordering a pie or two with extra cheese, pepperonis and stuff then having it delivered FedEx. LMAO! Lucky it gets to your place in less than one piece. XD

It wouldn't surprise me. I have picked and delivered pies, cakes, seafood, and other food items. A pizza may or may not have been among those food items.

You don't tip the UPS Man, though he may tip your wife

So apparently I struck a nerve. I gave Dominos a 1 for the pizza being "what I ordered" when they forgot the buffalo sauce on the wings and burned my pizza...like 8 months ago. I didn't even leave a comment other then say there was no wing sauce. 4th "We're Sorry" coupon arrived at my door today...I want to tell them hey it's ok, but can't argue with cheap pizza

Actually had this moment last weekend with the ice storm.  Ended up just not getting Pizza that day and cooking instead.
