Competition turns to fashion…”Scroogled” by MS

Well…Google does come creepily close to “wrong!” in its ads as well in its network spying while photographing surroundings. They say they don’t actually read the email…but their ‘scanning’ isn’t to be taken lightly.

So, MS wants a bigger market share for “Bing”. Imagine if they called it, “Bang!” or “Bam!”?

To help get that share (they say Google decreased 10% and Bing increased 7%) they’ve started marketing merchandise. You can see it here. There’s a video here, as well as a petition.

Google replied:

"Microsoft’s latest venture comes as no surprise; competition in the wearables space really is heating up," Google said in a formal response.” – Google

A particularly ironic statement…in fact, MS might say ‘as transparent as glass.’

Hmmmm....I had to go look, the ad I got wasn't related to the email, but......

They admit that the ads are based on your email. Damn, that's bold.

Ridiculous, MS are just as bad. Besides, my worry isn't corporate spying but government spying and they're both just as much in bed with the intelligence organizations.

Here's what MS and Google and any other tech giant hands over to the NSA: EVERYTHING. If they say it's "encrypted" they're lying. If they say it's "safe" they're lying. If it's in the Cloud the NSA has it. If it was sent over the internet the NSA has it. If you are working for a corporation that is large enough (few thousand employees) then even if you encrypt in-house the NSA still have the keys because their job is literally to spy on you. They blackmail and bribe and they always get what they want because what they want is the law and speaking up against it is illegal. If they've approached you and you leak it to the press, you'll go to jail. You can't even tell people you can't tell people.

Your tax dollars at work. Your votes at work.

lol...you're just finding out about that now? ;)

It's been going on for years.

At least MS doesn't do this particular evil (it does others).

If you are talking about scanning emails, Microsoft DOES do it as well.

Useless shirts. Microsoft scans emails as well for ad placement. It's been proven.

Since the NSA has all this info - why can't they shut down the spammers?

Because many servers are abroad...

And it looks like all the 'useless shirts', etc. have sold out (a rumor).

servers are abroad? Now I understand... that would violate the NSA's mission mandates. :)
