Founders Elite Meet & Greet

I think it'd be neat if there were a meet & greet sort of event for a major milestone such as the first Alpha release. I myself only live a few hours outside of the Detroit area.

not possible for me, UK resident and no passport.

Not possible for me, I don't have the funds to randomly fly about the country. :(

I'll come to meet the devs again if I can.

Same here!!,........ Lack of funds! :(

While I wouldent mind lacI of funds means it would only be possible for me if it were nearby say toronto

We'll be nearly 10 hours by car, and I doubt I'd be free to fly.

While I like the idea in theory, and would love to meet the developers, Las Vegas is a long way from Michigan.  I'd have to know the dates at least a month or 2 in advance, also.

Not really feasible for me sadly.

Unless you guys set the meeting to central Europe, I am afraid I am off :D

NYC suburbs here.

Uhm, this is not a list your location topic guys/gals :+

A meet & greet could be nice for those who can attend, how about a GC Con (convention) with live video footage available (for founders only? }:) )

Rochester, NY.   Toronto would be fun!  Just keep the mayor away from me. :)

I don't meet people from the internet.  Not since what happened last time.

Ironically, I also live and work in the Detroit area. Still, I'm very hesitant about meeting people from online.

On the other hand... Gal Civ Enthusiasts.

Hmm....

Who would bring the 'entertainment' if we don't invite the mayor. Priorities! Priorities! Plus we can pick up some good ramen between crack houses. It's a win-win!

a convention site would be much safer... caution with internet connections into RL is definitely called for.

Damn Stardock; they're just collecting us into one place so they can extract our brains!

Now if they invited us to the studios I would start getting really concerned...!

By the way... I'm not affiliated with Stardock in any way. My original post was just a feeler to see what people would think about the idea, not to suggest that Stardock is doing this. Aside from my interest in GC3, I'm a software engineer (presently an embedded engineer, working on iPad software) and would be interested in meeting engineers of differing disciplines. I also am old-school, as I used to log onto BBSes in the late 80s and early 90s, where it was common for the owner of the BBS (sysop) to host user meets, sometimes at their homes but more often at a restaurant or park.

So, yes, I understand that most people couldn't make it. :-) Still wanted to put the idea out there.

Yeah but you always run into weird people (I mean interesting people) at those things, of which I'm included.

A couple of things I can't afford it, but if you send me a ticket with a place to stay I would more than happily try to show up. I would like to have a meet and greet in Tucson Az I hear it is nice this time of the year. We could to this through a free video thing on the internet. That would be cool.
