Custom icon not used by Launch8

I use extra-large icons. One of the executables I have in the Launch8 bar doesn't provide a large icon. I have tried creating a shortcut with a large nice-looking icon, but Launch8 doesn't use it, it scales up the ugly, small icon from the original exe.

How can I make Launch8 to replace the icon?

It also seems to ignore custom icons on some shortcuts. I have a shortcut to a web app I use however it displays the chrome icon instead of my custom icon selected for the shortcut. I'm guessing this is an initial bug of sorts.
