beta 1.5 hanging. similar to 1.4

The game is still hanging and I am getting a similar error report. It doesn't hang at the same place every time like in 1.4, so I can progress through the game. But it still hangs at 3-4 turns. Anybody else getting this? Using Windows 7.

This is the same thing that has been happening to me.But it has happened enough that I have narrowed it down.

It's at the point where I should be getting my first Hero. When it end my turn and my fame reaches 3.

The only thing I can do is save the game. Exit all the way out (usually with an end task from the task manager) then come back in and reload.

The game starts up fine and continues, but I never get that first hero.

Seems like the window for the selection of the hero is getting hidden behind the main screen or is made active but not made visible. The game is waiting for my selection but i can't make it cause I can't click on anything.

Exiting the game clears the window conflict but I don't get a hero until i can earn 50 fame.

Any info on work-arounds or a way to get the hero selection window back to the front would be appreciated.

Actually it just happened again on a new game I just started. This time it not only hung on the first hero. but when I got to 50 fame, my research just happened to finish at the same time. The game got stuck again. I saved and exited, when I returned I got to pick my new research option, but not the hero.  Played on and finally got a hero when I reached 100 fame.

It's the Hero selection screen that is hanging it.

Also found that when the hang up occurs, if you exit to the main menu and try and load a game then the system hangs.

But if you exit to the main menu and then exit the game. It leaves the game running in back ground. Never closing it unless you end task it.
