Can't get program to run

If anyone can help, I will greatly appreciate it.    I recently bought a new computer that had Windows 8, and I hate Windows 8.    So after some research, I found recommendations for ModernMix.    I've installed the program..........   I can see it if I check through Control Panel.    But I can't get it to run.    It seemed to install and I had a window asking how I wanted it displayed, but there were no buttons to move forward.    Now I seem to have nothing.  

Help?    This whole mess with the new computer has me close to tears.   I hate, hate windows 8 and wanted something to help.    But now I can't get this to run either.
