GC2/Ultimate locks up traiding with carinoids

Game locks up when trying to trade with the Carinoids. I am trying to trade "trade" for another tech and some currency. I have a save game from just prior to the lockup. I have only discovered two minor races, the Carinoids and the Dark Yor. If I trade with the Dark Yor before trying to trade with the Carinoids, the game works well. I have also discovered only three of my nine other major races, the Drengin, the Torians, and the Yor and traded the "Trade" technology to all of them before trying to trade "trade" to the minor races.
