Problem Start8 Tablet Mode Windows 8.1

Start8 Version 1.30 had the feature to open Start8 Menu unless in tablet mode. This feature worked well on Windwos 8. But in Window 8.1 this feature doesn't work anymore on my Sony Vaio Duo 11. It only apply the rules for tablet mode. If the tablet isn't in tablet mode. Start8 opens also the Windows 8 menu.

Did you install 8.1 as an upgrade or a clean install?

My understanding is there is an Intel driver required in order to communicate to the OS which state it is in, and without this all machines are considered to be in tablet mode at all times.

I've checked all drivers. They're all installed. I found out that the GPIO-Laptop/Slate-Indicator driver is relevant to detect the tablet/laptop state. Is there any posibility to check this value? I've read on a microsoft page that 0 is the default value = tablet mode and 1 = laptop mode. But not where you can check it.
