closing metro app?

if i close metro app (drag it to the bottom from the top) this app wont close but stay open in taskbar on destop, but at a same time is no more open in left sidebar. I notice this since upgrade to Windows 8.1. I have 64 bit windws.
do i have something wrog set in modern mix settings?
