Steam activation problems

There seem to be some issues with activating GalCiv II Ultimate Edition and in fact some customers are basically giving up. Which is a shame because the process does work (I know because I've got an activated Ultimate Edition) but as has been noted it seems that there are problems whenever Steam has a sale on.

For anyone having this issue, download: http://sd.stardock.com/sean/activate/SDActivate.exe

Navigate to the directory of the application you are trying to activate:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Demigod
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Galactic Civilizations II - Ultimate Edition
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\FE Legendary Heroes
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Sins of a Solar Empire Trinity
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Elemental Fallen Enchantress

If you are running on a 32 bit machine, it will be 'Program Files'

Rename the existing SDActivate.exe to SDActivate.exe.old
Copy the new SDActivate.exe to that directory.

Run the game you need to activate (not SDActivate.exe) and fill out the form.

If it fails with the same error please let us know so we can try to address the issue further.

Shouldn't have to stress to get this to work like I'm stealing something. WTF this didn't work how many more options do I need to try. I guess SO many people are trying to steal this game they need to make digital downloads impossible. REDICULOUS, I've NEVER had this much trouble. wish I could get my money back...
