1.11 versus 1.40

Hello!

I have version 1.11 (final version for Russia) and downloadable version 1.40 of EWOM. Campaign and interface are bugged in both versions.

Here they are as I remember:

In 1.11 campaign:

  • I "can" equip units
  • I can't do researches
  • I can't learn spells
  • Hero's level up gives 3 stat points
  • Creatures book looks okay
  • Janusk talks sometimes

In 1.40 campaign:

  • I can't equip units
  • I can do researches
  • I can learn spells (but I have magic arrow from the begining, so later I have TWO same magic arrow buttons in the spell book)
  • Hero's level up gives 5 stat points
  • Creatures book moslty have same obsidian golem records
  • Janusk doesn't talk sometimes

So what version is ...umm... correct? What should I play?

P.S. That is not complete list of bugs, the other bugs exists in both versions: click failures, unit automove failures, end turn button failures, trigger failures, user interface update glitches, ctrl+click mouse behaviour glitch and so on and on...

The latest version, or if you can, check your serial/Impulse number or receipt date and try to talk to Stardock and see if you're eligible for downloads of the sequel/expansion, which is much much better.

Is that so? Also I noticed that there is no animated people in towns in 1.40 I am playing campaign now and 1.11 seems to have more "features" oddly.
