We'll have the rules for what exactly is and isn't permissible in star names when we're ready to take Elite Founders' star names.

Sadly, Xiasdick will probably not make the cut.

e: I do actually work here, promise! Bugging the forum guys now to get my fancy Stardock logo under my doofy face.

e2: Woo, I'm official! I feel so honored.

Maybe if I explain all the value of living near Xiasdick?  It's a wonderful place, filled with love and adventure.  Although, you occasionally run into these guys.

"Dormant form. uh - Keep away from heat and - uh - moisture. Extremely dangerous when activated. Antibody - oh boy - unknown."

Okay, I'm not going to that planet.

Where do you report bugs and let them know what you want to name your star. I finally got the founders addition. the bug I found was on the planets screen. you know those spcial tiles, well the bonuses for research and influence are reversed..

Directions for name are star is here: https://forums.galciv3.com/453185/page/1/

Report bugs in the Early Access Forum, though the one you are talking about is known. New patch should be out early next week, so you may want to hold off on any bug reports until you see if they still exist in the new build.

I was also wondering how likely it will be that I'll actually get to see my star (name still TBD) in a game. I guess that depends on how many founder-named stars are allowed in each size galaxy and how many elite founders there end up being. Seems like I might have to play a lot of games to find my star. Even then I supposed it might not have a habitable planet for me to fight over. That all may be for the best though because I'm sure that in any game with my star, my strategy will be totally unsound due to my overwhelming desire to colonize that system and make it the hub of my empire.

Oh... definitely... soldiers are high spirited when they fight for their own land and families.

Fighting for an whole star (and star system?) that carries a beloved name? They will be Berserkers...

I thought about the 99$ founders, but the little asterisk broke my heart when I learned that no way would "Xiasdick" would ever be a star.

While that is sad indeed I did not get the $99 founders for two reasons:

1) War of Magic/ Elemntal burn - Very disapointed in these games.

2) Masters of Orion 3 - Now if you will remember way back in time MOO and MOO2 were the best TBS Space game for their time and when it was announced that MOO3 came out I was pretty excited. I mean there is no way they could make 2 damn good games and have the 3rd game in the series be bad.  Well I was younger back then and so full of hope and wonder.  Well imagine my great disappointment when that trash known as MOO3 came out.  It was such a crappy game that even after several upgrades it still remaind crappy.

So I'm going to be cautious with GS3 and although I like what I'm seeing I'm going to wait a while and see how it develops before making a purchase.

Early alphas and such aren't for everyone, and there's nothing wrong with that.  I have no doubt once it's released it will speak for itself. :)
