Turn Based or Real Time or Both!?

I am oh so very excited about this.  I am a big fan of the series.  I love the TBS aspect of it, I have tried Sins but I guess I am not fast enough to really enjoy it like I have the GalCiv series.  I am very curious of this will still be TBS or what?  I do not think they have spilled the beans on this one yet but I hope they will soon enough.

 

As a side, and truly unrelated note, I am pretty close to doing the founder's elite thing, I buy all the add-ons and stuff anyway... ;-)

Glad to hear this - I jumped in on the elite package assuming this would be the case, but got a little worried when I real a few posts speculating about the possibility of real time segments in the game.

 

I'm a turn based guy, all the way - hope they keep it that way!

Turn based all the way.  Real time works in some situations (Sins of a Solar Empire) but a lot of the time it just degenerates into a turn based game anyway (I'm looking at you, Star Drive).  Besides: the point of the game isn't to be quick and tactical, the point of the game is to have a better strategy.

Well, Turn based kill this game for me.,  Im not investing in some shit turn based game like the early 90's.  Bring on Sins II 64x please.

Dark- you ever played Dom4 or there are 4Xs that have tactical combat. I'm sure they aint doing just watch the fight battles again. Wait for more info captain.  ;)

a client-Server version, while the human Players are doing their turn, the AI should also work on his ...

NOT LIKE IT IS IN CIV V ,,, at the end quarter of the game, we are waiting more for AI than we Play ... that is worse gamedesign !

turned based "empire building" - real time planetary battles and fleet battles, would be Godly.
