Help placing forbidden planet bonuses in galaxy forge.

I'm having trouble placing the new bonuses from forbidden planets in galaxy forge. I downloaded a modified galaxyscenariodef file and replaced it in Galaxy Forge. The bonuses show up in Galaxy Forge and I can place them in Galaxy forge but whenever I load the map in game the forbidden planets bonuses don't appear. Rebellion bonuses that were placed will show up I know to set them as "always" "no owner", but the new ones added in forbidden worlds will not appear. Any Ideas? Has anyone made this work?

You need to also make a mod with the modified GalaxyScenarioDef file. If that's not done for you, go to the mod folder, make a new folder called "Forbidden Worlds Bonuses" or whatever, in that folder make a folder called "GameInfo", then paste the modified galaxyscenariodef file in that folder. Then go to the mods tab from the main menu and enable that mod.

ok if im using a galaxydef file that was modified for forbidden worlds would have stellar phenomena make it so my maps wouldn't work if I had the bonuses put in

yes, you would have to add the bonii to a copy of the galaxysceanriodef from stellar phenomena in a mod name/GameInfo folder

can you tell me how exactly to do that

first step, find your latest rebellion mods folder(usually under /my documents/my games/ironclad games/Sins of a solar empire rebellion

2 in the mods folder, create a NEW folder and name it for your mod, eg 'forbidden bonus'

3 inside the newly created mod folder, create a new folder with the name 'GameInfo' (note this name MUST be exactly the same as displayed

4 copy the galaxyscenariodef.galaxyscenariodef from the modified version (old form) into the folder, then rename it so that you can copy the stock galaxyscenariodef from the game folder OR the reference files (there are a couple of different suppliers here in the forums)

5 with a program like notpad++ (that can open AND display/compare two files at a time) open BOTH the renamed and stock galaxyscenariodef.galaxyscenariodef, and going through the entire file look for the section that has the planet bonuses then copy the bunuses that existin the renamed, but not in the stock, and after you have copied all the bonuses over to the stock, then check the count on the lbunus section and adjust it up by the number of bonuses you added (note if you remove lines then decrease the count)

hope this helps
