Dear Frogboy, et. al.,

Realize that this a hail mary, but here goes:

Imperium Galactic War is one of the best free-to-play browser games out there right now.  It fills the mmo space niche in a thoughtful and extremely fun way and has developed a strong following from its players.  It also bears the hallmark of being heavily influenced by Stardock games such as Gal Civ.  However, poor marketing and a lack of development resources has doomed to the game to being prematurely shuttered by Kabam on 11/4/13 before the full game was unveiled.  Kabam is apparently shifting away from pc games to focus on mobile games (its bread and butter). 

If you are not familar with the game, please check it out.  The game concept is just begging for someone to come along and fulfill its promise.  Based on the concept it seems to me that the game fits squarely in Stardock's sweet spot (pc, heavy math-based stats, opportunity for players to mix and match and experiment/develop their own approach to the game).

The development team (which has been laid off in its entirety) has stated that Kabam would likely part ways with the IP, etc. for about $1 million.  My wild-a$$ guess is that the number is rather soft (i.e. could be negotiated down).

Anyways, just wanted to make sure that this was on your radar.  Thanks for your time.

It is... best f2p browser sci fi game out there.  Great fight controls, tons of customization...  And lots of opportunity for further development.  Kabam really dropped the ball on this one, but perhaps Stardock's gain, if they jump on it.

This game is definitely worth saving, Frogboy! Haven't you ever wanted to play Gal Civ multiplayer? Real-time Fleet vs Fleet battles and Fleet vs Base. Its awesome I tell you. A big thanks to Bing for starting this topic!!

i had played Gal civ for a while, loved the game it was just missing something could't fig it out be i eventually left the game, i have been playing igw for a few months now and i believe this is what it was missing i hope you guys catch this and take it in to consideration, as in everything it is a risk but i think you guys wont be disappointed

This game is awesome! I have been playing for a few months now and have played alot of online games. I have never played a better game and there is nothing out there that compares. If your into forming alliances, building fleets, and waging war...this is definitely for you.

This is a great Game, I play almost non stop and yes i do spend money. I think the game is well made and still has more to go. this game is still a baby and needs time and better ads. The game will not let you down just try it out. There is no other game like it. It will have you hooked in no time at all. I love the real time space battles.

Hello there fellow space freaks..I just wanted to throw in my 5 cents worth as well & say that,

During my short time playing this awesome game which not only is deadly addictive, & has the best pvp

element than any other space sim..But also has a really cool player based community of die hard followers..

I'd just like to say that during the few months I've spent playing it, I was hesitant at first too spend any money,

mainly because the last game I played,( Throne of Swords ) also got stopped in its tracks before it could blossom into some think Spectacular..

Which brings me back to the game at hand, just recently after finding out the game was only in its newborn stage of being online..

I decided to purchase $$$ to help my status in the game, then to hear a week later that it was going to shut down, was disappointing indeed..

And i think it just showed how cold hearted some off these companies can be, towards their community of players...no mercy alright lol  :cylon:

This game is a great game.  Not since Masters of Orion has a game even scratched the level of space development and war that this one has.  It is very sad that Kabam can't see the error of their decision to cut it off.

The play is simple, but complex once you get the hang of it.  The opportunity for PVP is outstanding.  Alliance 'Wars' have ensued to epic proportions on this game, with nearly hundreds of players working together to take down several hundred others.

If you were an investing company in potential money maker games, this is it.  A large bunch of gamers will be playing this game right up to server shutdown, solely because of dedication and recognition of how great this game really is.

Perhaps this flood of new accounts would be better off aiming this petition at a company that actually develops browser games. But what do I know, I'm just rational.
