1,000 Free (Open Type) Fonts (238 families) on Bitsdujour Today

If you’re into typography (as I am), this is a great opportunity to pick up a whole bunch for free.

All you have to do is navigate to bitsdujour.com and click. To get the download and the deal, you have to like their page on face book, but there’s a way to do that if you don’t have a face book page as well…just read what’s on the link at bitsdujour.

It’s a 25.6 Mb download…you can probably pick and choose which you want and which you don’t after decompressing it.

Anyway, this is what it looks like, and you have 19+ hrs. left on the deal.

Have a great Sunday!

Got 'em ....fiddly process....but you can never have enough fonts...;)

I'd love to get them, but I wouldn't join Facebook if someone paid me a million dollars to do it.

Didn't notice any....I'd changed all suffixes to 'ttf' and viewed them via 'the Font Thing' ...and they all showed up...;)

Oh, they are there Paul, and renaming to .ttf did not help the either here (why would you need to do that?). For instance try the font "CelticSkySemiCondensedItalic" and you'll see. :)

Ah...you're right....was showing as a default and not changing.

Had to be ttf as my font viewer doesn't do otf ....;)

You're welcome, Tom.

I like it because you can create files and groups of fonts like complementary ones, serif, sans serif, slab, decorative, etc...and save an s-load of time browsing your fonts over and over again, back them up and uninstall them (makes Ps work lots faster).

The best of the font managers is FontExplorerX Pro... ( http://www.fontexplorerx.com/ ) but that one costs about $90 (US).

Caught this with just a few hours to spare; can't have enough fonts for logo work.

Thanks so much for kindly sharing this!

Couldn't get the survey option to work on Pale Moon with DNT - no 'Continue' button would appear.
