This is an important step-forward. It reminds me of the seven 'psychohistorical dialectical equations' published by Foundation Encyclopedia Dialectica, that categorially reconstruct the history of seven key qualitative features of historical human social development, and which can also be iterated forward to 'pre-construct' -- predict -- the next development of these features.

Well, unless there was more here not shown in that video, keep in mind that it doesn't seem to keep track of any individual Empires. A big part of history is those Empire's fighting each other, just predicting where "civilization" will spread without distinguishing between which civilization they belong two is much less useful.
