Quick question guys, I was trying to find the post that goes over the minimum things required for a faction. I know there was a post on this but I can't find it for the life of me and don't want to start a new post just to rehash this.

I *think* he means the minimum xml files to mod to create a custom faction, but I never saw the original post he's talking about so I don't know any key words that would help from the original post. He's looking for some kind of modding guide to factions.
For a faction you just need a raceconfig, and maybe a sovereign if you want to be able to select it / fight it.
Raceconfig I think is what I was looking for. I am just wondering what the minimums are for unit types for a race? I know you have to have a sov, a militia, a shopkeeper, scouts, and pioneers. What else is the minimum for the game to recognize it as a valid faction?
There's something like a seer sage (shown when research finishes), and you need a trader (what to use for caravans) as well. Also you probably want generic sovereigns and normal generic units so the player can create new ones of those.

someone should post a collection of files needed for a faction in one place to help other people get started with this.
