GiftedMotion: Free gif Software

Well, gifs seem really outdated…and for CS/CC users, making them is easy with the animation parts of the software. Not everyone has that software.

So, if you like gifs and I do, this software is really good. It makes gif making truly simple, and has plenty of features. There’s only a ‘free edition’, so you don’t have to buy after 30 days, and all the features there are to get are already there.

Even nicer, it has multi-language support and runs on every OS. It’s really small and has a great interface…and no installation, just run the .jar file. It supports .png, .jpeg, .jpg, .bmp and .gif. You can position the images in the frames easily, and get a preview of functionality.

There’s a ‘Handbook’ which comes with it, and a quick tutorial here.

I think you need Java to run this. I uninstalled Java months ago. Unless they fixed all the bugs. I clicked on it and it says windows cannot open this file. Do you want to search the web for one. I said no.

Uvah:

  • Java is an OOP programming language while Java Script is an OOP scripting language.
  • Java creates applications that run in a virtual machine or browser while JavaScript code is run on a browser only.
  • Java code needs to be compiled while JavaScript code are all in text.
  • They require different plug-ins.

Reinstall the latest version of Java. It causes no vulnerabilities.

You're thinking of Javascript, and that runs only in browsers and is a cause of vulnerability to attack via infected applets on websites.

Nah...it's too hard to find sites to host gifs for free anymore.

Why not give Photobucket a try Po. I have several gifs and a video in my album and never got charged for it.
