MS Re-Releasing Several Patches from Patch Issued on 9.10.13.

Folks, MS apparently didn’t pretest the patches thoroughly enough.

“The issues affected users of various Office programs and suites, including Office 2013. In addition, two non-security patches for PowerPoint 2010 also had the same issue.” – Neowin.net

Apparently now they’ve gotten their final fix.

Even if you downloaded them before, download and install the fixes.

So far, that’s two months running that MS has pulled inadequately tested patches.

The original update for Office reset some file associations, for one thing.  Not sure what else it screwed up yet.

I have a screencap to show ya, LS, but my filedrop site is currently being disinfected.  Seems like an SP2 would be rolled out to everybody with MSO2010.

Actually, says published 7-23-13 - not sure why it's just now showing up.

Ahh..the infamous patch to fix the patch. Star Trek Online likes to do this a lot , as well.
