GC2 TA Nightmare mission 8 goes berzerk, Litterally!!!

While playing GC2-TA mission 8 "Nightmare", the game suddenly starts playing by itself without any user interface. I am totally locked out of control on the game.The only way to stop it is to either use the task manager and end program or shut off my computer. I have auto-turn in the game turned off so this should not be happening. I am playing campaign mode with KHSM for TA as my only mod.

Playing on Win7

Dual Core CPU

5GB ram


Why is the game doing this?

Is the a bug in the game?

Anyone else encounter this problem?

How do I fix it?

Any help or information on this problem would be greatly appreciated.

The only thing I can think of is, that you might have accidentally activated autoplay (ctrl+z). However, for this to happen, you would need to have activated the cheat codes first. Still, if that is the case, then just press ctrl+z again to deactivate it.

The lack of UI, however, makes me wonder, if it really is autoplay. It will eventually start to show notifications, even if you disabled them. Once that happens, it is pretty difficult to turn autoplay off.

I don't know how it happened because I had been playing with cheats on throughout the whole game and this only started to happen once I got past Mission 6 Rock and Hard Place. I checked to make sure auto-turn was off and indeed it was. This is looking more like a glitch or a bug in the game. I updated my video drivers and this seems to have solved the problem. My video drivers were two years out of date.

 

You may be right about hitting ctrl+z. I might have accidentally done that while cloning ships. I know what to do next time this happens. I guess I'll be more careful when using cheat codes.
