Run in Parallel with Start8?

I currently use Start8 and love it. ModernMix sounds like a great idea. Can it be run in parallel with Start8 or would I need to replace Start8 with ModernMix?

Thanks for the quick reply. I've now purchased and installed ModernMix on my laptop and it's working great in concert with Start8.
