Unreadable text in Address Bar (Control Panel)

I'm new to WindowBlinds and have just used it for a few hours. However I have had 2 major problems with it already:

1. The text area in the address bar in Control Panel got dark color text with white shadow on dark background, which rendered it unreadable. However, if it is accessed through Windows Explorer, then everything work out perfectly without any errors. Image:

2. Some Windows' windows will not be skinned, such as Help and Support. Image:

I know some programs like Yahoo! Messenger and Internet Download Manager are not skinned because they use their own skinning code. But Windows Help and Support as well?

I'm on Windows 8 Pro 64-bit.

P.S. I'm using Metro skin by Stardock, but I don't like the white pattern on the title bar. I prefer a plain black bar. How can I edit it in SkinStudio?

I can't duplicate what you are showing with the same WB.

What I would suggest is to apply another wb than apply the metro again. Sometimes you have to apply it twice. not all the time just on occasion.

If you wish to make a new graphic with a different color that is easy. You can just use a 25 pix by 24 pix and it will work fine.

Location in skinstudio

Edit Explorer/IE shell Parts  --  Edit Explorer Parts  --  Glassy Areas  --  Search Field Background

You will see three graphics in the Address Field (normal, Green, Red) You really don't need a graphic in these locations or you can use the same one you made for the search field background.

Also in the Search Field Background you can click on Extra Settings and change the text color.

Hope this helps.

DaveBax,

Thank you for your reply. Yes, after a few tweaks in SkinStudio, I figured it out that the problem is because of the Address Field as you said. I accidentally changed it into a transparent background, which made the whole area transparent and it somehow messed up with another element of the skin. After the background was removed, everything work just fine.
