I don’t know about you, but when I have to upload personal info, I get really nervous. You can get hacked during the time it takes to load the data, you can get jacked, the site can get hacked, Do they hash and salt? Is that code secure, etc. ad paranoia…?

Abine’s MaskMe isn’t new (they’re the ones who also make DNTme, btw). What IS cool is that the extension bundles a whole bunch of security tools into that extension. There’s a ‘free’ and a ‘paid’ version.
“The free version lets users generate a unique alias email address that users can give to, for example, an e-commerce website if they fear they will receive too many messages later…The free version also has a strong password generator and secure storage for those passwords…and then autofills that information into forms.” – Link
The “paid” version ($5/month) adds some tools:
“One of those tools lets users give retailers a "virtual" credit card number. Abine links the virtual number with the person's real credit card number. Merchants never see the person's real card number, which protects against hackers and data thieves…Another premium feature, "Masked Phone," lets users enter an alternate phone number into Web-based forms, a tool designed to prevent telemarketers from calling…Unwanted numbers can be blocked. Masked Phone can also be used to obscure a person's phone number for outgoing calls. Masked Phone will only work for U.S. phone numbers, but Abine is planning international compatibility later this year.” – ibid
Might be something you should look into…also, the “paid” version brings the tools to mobile users on Android and iOS. It’s available in the respective App Sore/marketplace.
