Change White Background Colors for Windows 7 with WindowsBlinds possilbe?

Dear Forum-Community,

I am new with Windows 7 Home Premium, and are happy with most things, but there is one "thing" which i do not like: That i can not change the white background colors in Aero. (Only with classic design, but that looks not good)

After searching a lot i found the program "WindowsBlinds" and hope that this can help me:

I would like change the white background color in follow areas:

Windows Explorer (left folder structure)
Windows Explorer (right folder content)
control panel
etc.

If i go to WindowsBlinds - Color - change system colors - i found a lot of entries but they do not work?!
I can not create a new substyle (nothin happens) and it shows as substyle name only: ~~~~

Do i need an other program instead of WindowsBlinds?

I hope, i have asked no question which is answered in this forum already 100x, i did not find with search.

Thanks a lot for every answer :-)

kind regards,

Bernd

Hello Bernd,

You need SkinStudio to make those changes or build a complete windowblind. I believe it comes with your purchase of windowblinds..

Hey Dave, I believe they are a part of OD but can be purchased separately.

To change the right side folder content background (explorer background) do this. Open WindowBlinds configuration window. Choose the background tab, choose Explorer Backgrounds, then pick a swatch and apply. Other adjustments are possible there as well.

Note that the program is called WindowBlinds, rather than WindowsBlinds.   X|

Hello again :-)

Thank you for yours answers!

I have found out, that for different Styles are different options possible! Now i am able to change more options than before.

Unfortunately it is not possible, to change all colors with Win 7 Aero, but WindowBlinds (without s of course RedneckDude - i hope you can forgive this inexcusable fault) has much more functionality than Windows  ;-)  ;-)

kind regards,

Bernd
