There´s this new thing... -Wide Screen !

Just wondering....

Howcome The previews on the site still isn´t in widescreen.

It´s not like it´s a new thing. Go out to the stores and try to buy a screen with WC´s preview format, good luck with that

-okay, just tried to be bit cheerful about it.

Bottom line is shouldn´t Wincustomize be all updated to Widescreen by now ? :maybe: :\

Do you mean the size of the "white" portion of the page, Andy?

Maybe post a screenie of what you'd like to see?

Say hi to Kitty, :)

No, no, no LOL

The PREVIEWS/Thumbs are still in the Old format, That´s what I mean !

They are optimized for the site layout and what will be best optimized when they are compressed down.

Well, if you described what you meant, there wouldn't be questions, would there?

Just seems weird to me that a site dealing with these sorts of things don´t display the previews in the worldwide standard that´s all ^_^

16:9

16:10

Pick one. ;)

Funi ^_^

You know what I mean.

I'll guess..... standarization and uniformity???

Yes Greg, a wider format overall would be more...accurate. -Both up to date and the previews would display how the actual screen looks, no more need for us to compensate by Cropping and stuff |-)

it's always bothered me as well so I don't disagree Andy just mentioning that it wouldn't look very good with various sizes of screenies, like out of proportion. IMHO They should just set the standard size to fit my current monitor ;-)

Still, somewhat wider would be closer to standard :cylon: :sun:

. double post

i don't think it really matters for things like cursors or WindowBlinds skins, but cropping is a really bad idea to present wallpapers.

it would be better to add white borders to the preview, should it not have 4:3 format (i.e. almost all). the filesize would also be smaller then, imagine all the bandwidth dollars saved.

The thumbnail images have to be cropped so that there is uniformity on the page. If you had different size previews and they were all sized down and displayed in their native format, it would basically look like crap. Also, with uniform cropping there can be more items displayed on a page.

so what exactly has been edited except the string style of the word "previews"?

Doc, all due respect, all he did was to BOLD the word Previews. I fail to see your point.

Even stranger, when you open them they go to widescreen. How do they do that? It's like the twilight zone in here sometimes ;p
