Game resolution wont keep after quit

Hi,

I've tried searching the forums for a way to address this but I didn't find anything.

When I start sins the game wont remember the resolution that i previously set the game at. It will start the game at the lowest resolution option available and I have to reset it. If i delete the rebellion.user ini file, the game will go back to remembering my resolution from the previous game for awhile. However, eventually the game will begin to act up again and start at the lowest resolution setting,

I've tried altering the rebellion.user file to the resolution of 1900 x 1200 but it wont stick. When the game gets stuck starting with the lowest resolution any changes seem to be ignored.

I've also updated my video drivers and that has had no effect.

Thanks for the help, its a miinor issue but very annoying.

that is odd  :S

are you ever running the DEV.exe? That will reset your user settings file every time.

It's possibly because Sins does not recognize that size, is that size in the list of the in-game menu or do you set in manually? I don't remember seeing that one.

If it really bothers you and there is no other fix offered by someone else, create a backup of a good settings file, then create a .bat file that will copy the backup file and over right the original and then start Sins, then if you want you can place the .bat in the Settings folder, create a shortcut to it and change the shortcuts icon. I can help you with it if you like.

manually change your resolution in the settings file and mark the file readonly.

Thanks,

i'll try marking the settings file read only and give that a try, the game is acting fine now but i'll let you know if anything changes.
