How to add custom photos to the Civilization species photo selection

I am looking to add in a picture of myself to replace the "custom" picture. Is it possible with a Steam player?

Yes it is.

Take the photo, make sure it fits reasonably within the 256x256 confines without much distortion, save that as a .png, move it to:

C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\My Games\GC2TwilightArnor\Gfx\Portraits

Yes, it is. As far as I know, there is no limit to how many pictures you can add.
