Chapter 1: The Birth of The United Earth Alliance


By 2013 rampant spending by several Earth Governments and mass corruption and poverty led to several revolutions taking place. The First was the Canadian Liberation Army who revolted against the government and broke Canada away from British Sovereignty.(Canadian Revolution) The United States fell into a second recession which caused the Johnson Administration to leave office, the new President, George Dundleworf pledged to restore the country to it's old days of glory a world superpower. As 2014 approached Dundleworf  met with the new Canadian President Jerry Sullivan and merged both nations into what we recognize today as the American Coalition.(History of the American Coalition) In response to this move the Far Eastern powers China, Japan, The Phillipines and Mongolia united to Form the Greater Pacific Republic. Only Europe, the middle East and south America had to choose sides but nobody wanted to make a move as tensions were high. The existing European Union became closer and formed one country, they kept the title of The European Union and Queen Victoria III became the chosen leader. The European Union was the only monarchy in the 21st Century and the move surprised the two major super powers of the world the AC and GPR. In 2015 the middle east exploded, Egypt launched a massive war to conquer the African Continent while the GPR invaded the Middle East. The GPR fails after 5 years and makes peace with the Middle Eastern countries. The Middle East soon unites to form what is known today as the Middle East Associate States or the MEAS for short. The war had gone bad for the GPR but Egypt had huge success, after creating their first Hydrogen Bomb they used it as means to conquer. 3 Countries are known to have been obliterated by use of the bomb, infromation on this era is skektchy as best because Egypt destroyed all records of this war. What is known is that the Entire Continent fell under Egypt and became a part of what is known today as the Empire of Egypt. In 2221 the South American countries of Brazil, Columbia, Argentina, Bolivia, and Venezuela joined the American Coalition as Protectorate States. Soon Mexico, Panama, Belize and Costa Rica followed, Nicaragua refused to follow. 


In 2023 an Alien object falls into the Caribbean Sea, An American Coalition Fleet recovers the object. Scientists discover that it is a probe of some kind. Inside are plans for a stargate, the humans don't use the Stargate plans but use their Fusion reactor technology and the plans for the Stargate to create an engine which will allow for faster than speed light. Seeing that there is life out there in the universe, the different countries put aside their differences and join to form the United Earth Alliance, each country can retain their Sovereignty but are states in the Alliance under the rule of a constitutional power led by President Alan Bradley. 


Chapter 2: The Invention of the Hyperdrive


Records from this area are scarce but what is known is that the famous weird scientist George Zeffer invented the Hyperdrive in 2028. He tested it by strapping an Early Hyperdrive Mark 256 engine onto a car and propelling it across the ocean in one tenth of a second. Nobody until this day has been able to do the same with any other object.

 

Chapter 3: Humanity Spreads


In January of 2226 two colony ships were launched from Earth, the first being the USS Hope which headed for Mars with 5,000 colonists and the USS Celestial which went to the moon. In February the USS Prospector and a small fleet of Merchant and Construction vessels created the dilithium mining bases which supply the Federation Starfleet today. The USS Bonaventure and USS Cook were launched from the orbital shipyards of Earth and began scouting nearby space charting dozens of star systems and anomalies.

"Captains Log Stardate 2226.4-01 it has been several weeks since we departed Earth, this week alone we have charted the Sitlet and Alshain Star Systems and are on our way to the nearest Star System the Gladstone System. End log"

President Francheska Bacco was more than thrilled looking at the reports she was looking at on her desk in the Presidential office in New York City. In 10 weeks of scouting 3 Systems had been charted with 2 having habitable planets that could be colonized by the Alliance. The USS Cook had found a precursor artifact in orbit of Sitlet IV while the USS Kraken had Colonized Sitlet II. Eeverything was going fine and nothing could get better. It was an age of prosperity for the alliance. Admiral George Conway walked into her office with a padd in his hand and handed it to her.


"Well Good afternoon Admiral how can i help you?" She said taking the padd in her hand.


"Madam president the USS Bonaventure found an alien vessel destroyed near the Regulus System, they found remains of the crew inside. We believe their ship was destroyed by some other ship as there residual weapon signatures around the area."


"Admiral are you saying that there are hostile alien's near our space?" Asked Bacco beginning to worry about what these Aleins could do as the Alliance did not have a stadning warfleet to defend itself. Starfleet had just been created a couple of months ago and no concrete plans had been laid out for the creation of ships capable of fighting.


"Madam President all i am saying is that we need to be careful, our long range sensors don't pick up any communication signals around our space and our sensors have a range of 10 sectors. There are other life forms out there and this might just be a rogue ship but we need to be careful, we don't know what these aliens are capable of." 


Bacco looked at Admiral Conway and nodded, ok George restrict ship traffic in the outer rim sectors until we have bases or planets colonized in those sectors.


"Yes Madam President." Conway gave a slight bow and turned around and left quickly, Bacco looked out her panaromic view of New York Harbor. She stood up and ran to the window and burst through it and fell 23 stories to the streets below.


With the death of President Bacco the Alliance fell into chaos, a state of emergency was declared on Earth and the Cabinet met to discuss, who would continue to lead the Alliance. In a vote of 56 to 44 George Conway who was currently CinC of Starfleet was chosen to become President. Conway hesitantly accepted and he was succeeded as CinC by Rear Admiral Jennifer Stratton.

"Captain's Log USS Cook Stardate 2226.05-08 Alex Swenson Commanding, after 2 months out in the darkness in space we have charted the Regulus System. We are now heading on course 234.689 to rendezvous with the USS Bonaventure in the Crevas System. With the Bonaventure we will continue scouting the nearby star systems. End Log."

By May of 2226 7 Star Systems had been scouted and all ripe for colonization, in June of 2226 President Conway passed the Colonization act which allowed Colonies to have a say in the senate and elections. The Act also allowed colonies to rule themselves while having ties with the Alliance. Seeing as how every colony ruled itself but was still under Alliance control Conway pushed more reforms through the senate and in July the Alliance became a Star Federation. The Alliance became The United Federation of Planets, although it would be a long time until it reached the status it has today it was the beginning of a bold new era. In the August the Bonaventure and Cook charted the Ankaa and Gallus Star Systems . Shortly after the charting of those systems the Alshain, Ankaa, and Crevas Systems were colonized. 

In October after the supervision of the colonization progress on Gallus V the USS Cook and USS Bonaventure split off in different directions in the hopes of scouting other Star Systems that are capable of supporting life. In November the USS Cook charted the Wila System while the USS Bonaventure scouted the Holmes and Hilnor Systems both capable of supporting life. The USS Bonaventure also stumbles upon the Rigel System in late December of 2226. On Christmas Eve both the USS Cook and USS Bonaventure docked at the Shipyards in orbit of Earth which were dubbed the Iowa Fleet Shipyards because they had been constructed directly above the state of Iowa, and held that position all of orbit. On December 27th the USS Bonaventure departed Earth and headed back out to discover strange new worlds, the USS Cook departed to scout the Outer Rim sectors and see if there really was nothing beyond the Rigel System.


On January 15th the USS Saratoga and a small fleet of constructor ships began constructing Deep Space 1 which would serve as a refueling station and serve as a recreational facility for crews out on long term deep space missions.

It was a pleasure to serve as captain now i will continue my destiny as governor of this new colony. End Log, computer transmit to Starfleet Command."

"Captain's Log USS Cook Stardate 2227.01-15 we have charted the Polaris System and the Eula System. Our scans show no star systems beyond the Eula System only the Crab Nebula. One day i hope to explore that nebula and see what secrets it holds. End Log"

This AAR will be written along with the Terran Confed AAR, i just started this one as i'm finding a way to put the notes from the other game into story format. I hope you guys enjoy this AAR and feedback and/or comments are welcome.

"Captain's Log USS Cook Stardate 2227.02-01, in the following weeks after charting the Polaris and Eula system i have ordered the vessel to the next star system on our list the Lentz System. Preliminary Scans show the system composes of 4 planets two of which can support human life."

2 months into the New Year the USS cook had charted 3 systems all capable of supporting life although the Polaris System was highly volatile with Radiation storms and and sulfur rainstorms. February also brought the creation of the New Providence Colony on Kaled III. On February 2nd Deep Space 2 was completed on the edge of known space about 1 light year from the Outer Rim System of Eula. The USS Bonaventure meanwhile arrived at the Woodan System in mid March and began scanning for habitable Planets. Scans showed 3 planets all Class M, capable of supporting life. The USS Bonaventure then proceeded to scout the Drenth System revealing several Asteroid Fields filled with several Dilithium Ore's. The USS Cook charted the Cheli Systemand on April 15 Deep Space 1 was opened to service ships headed for the Outer Rim sectors. The USS Cook again in less than a week charted the Arcadius System. But the Arcadius System was devoid of Habitable Planets although some with the correct technology could be terraformed to support life but no such technology existed yet.

"Captain's Log Stardate 2227.04-29 USS Constantinople Captain John Hopkins commanding, after 7 weeks of travelling through the Gladstone Corridor we have arrived at Regulus I to begin the Colonization progress. The colonists and the crew seem happy to begin a new life out her in the stars. End Log"

Starfleet Command HQ, Brooklyn Heights, New York, USA Stardate 2227.04-29: 1200 Hours 

 

Admiral Stratton walked into the situation room where dozens of officers monitored the the computers and data screens that showed the sectors around them or anything that might be considered important. She walked through the situation room and reached the door to the Command and Control Center. Only those with the right access code's could enter. She mover hand towards the touch screen next to the door and entered a code., the door chimed and the huge iron doors opened. Inside was a huge Circular Table with the walls lined with computers and command stations to monitor war situations. At the table was President Conway and his aid's, General of the Army Lt. General Jeofferey Hackensack was at the president's side with his aide's. Conway spoke first

 

"Ah good to see you could join as Admiral"

"It's my pleasure Mr. President, now i know your anxious to know how the colonization program is going, well in short it's going very well. In the last 8 months we have colonized 6 star systems with over 12 planets now under Federation control. The USS Bonaventure captured a Pirate Ship 3 light years from Sol, they have been imprisoned at the Detention Center on Asteroid 567 in the Crevas System. The Starfleet Corps of Engineers is looking into designs of warships and researching technology which will allow us to reach this goal."

 

"Fantastic, any projected timeline for these 'warships'?"

"No Mr. President, the Army Corps of Engineers has been working closely with SCoE, and we have no definite projection on a prototype." Said Hackensack

"Well i hope to see a report on my desk no later than Friday, meeting adjourned." 

 

With that the President walked out of the C&C room leaving Hackensack and Stratton Baffled. Hackensack looked over at Stratton who was shuffling some padd's around.

"Are we really going to go through with this?" Asked Hackensack

"Yes, Operation Downfall will continue. The Federation must be wiped of this corruption and intrigue." Replied Stratton

Hackensack nodded and left C&C with Stratton leading the way, Stratton stopped at the Comm Station and told the ensign monitoring the outgoing messages.

"Ensign, send a Priority 1 Starfleet Message to all Starfleet and Army commanders with Level 6 Access. Message Reads

The Time has come, the Downfall has arrived. Proceed with Operation Downfall Phase 1. Downfall is authorized by Fleet Admiral Jennifer Stratton and Lt. General Jeofferey Hackenack CinC of the Army. Proceed with Downfall as outlined in the contingency plans databae. End Message"

 

The Ensign nodded and sent the message, Stratton could not hold a small smile spread scross her face as she knew that within a couple of hours Downfall would be fulfilled. Hackensack was nervous, if they were caught it was high treason punishable by death even if the president was a scumbag.

President Conway, successor to Bacco was corrupt, evil, vile and above all a control freak. Since the day he became president Conway had planned for the destruction of every Alien Race in the galaxy once they had made contact and  were capable of constructing warships. And as he walked down the Grand Stairs to his hover limo outside of Starfleet HQ he did not in sense know what was going to happen. As he reached the sidewalk and his aide opened the Limo door for him Vice President Shira Bonta received a message on her padd. She looked at it and gulped, she turned and nodded at the Secret Srvice Agents and nodded. One of them threw a grenade into the Limo and all four screamed bomb and ran for cover. The Limo exploded and panic ensued through out the Capital. The second Presidential Assassination in less than 1 year. Admiral Stratton ordered Martial Law and a curfew was set, Vice President Bonta took her oath in Starfleet HQ and was sworn in as President of the Federation. Admiral Stratton shook Bonta's hand both women knew it was the start of a new era.

New Era

 

Stardate 2227.05-01 Presidential Office, The Loop, Chicago, Illinois, USA

 

President Bonta sat at her desk thrilled at the reports on her desk. The USS Cook explored deeper into the Alpha Quadrant while the USS Bonaventure discovered dozens of anomalies. One being the Lentz Wormhole which rumors circulated led to the Beta Quadrant were the Alien races lived. Almost two years and no First Contact had taken place. The Pirates that had been captured a few weeks earlier had given them information on the possible location of the major Alien powers in the Beta Quadrant. The woodan system had just been colonized expanding the Federation towards the Beta Quadrant in hopes of making contact with the Aliens. Meanwhile the USS Cook charted the Maestro, Sauron, and Rhea Systems. The Starfleet Merchant Fleet had deployed several marker buoys near the wormhole, since it had not been traveled Starfleet did not want ships to travel through space not charted by Starfleet Exploratory Fleet. 

 

Stardate 2227.09-08 Earth Spacedock, Conference Level C12, Orbit of Earth

 

"As President of the Federation it gives me great pleasure in inaugurating this massive space station which will serve the roll of drydock and home port to our Starfleet Vessels. This station built with the latest technology has an outer shell 2 miles thick and a height of 5 miles. All of our newly constructed vessels will leave port from here and return here, this is truly a symbol of what man has achieved, and now with a few words Fleet Admiral Stratton."

 

"Thank you Madam President, today we celebrate the opening of Earth Spacedock with the launching of the Mayflower Class Colony ship. The USS Mayflower is the first of it's class capable of carrying 1,000 colonists and having the latest Impulse Engine the Mark III Impulse Engine created by Wellington Manufacturing Inc. And now the christening and Launch of the Mayflower." Stratton moved towards the Airlock and said "I Fleet Admiral Stratton in the presence of the almighty lord christen thy USS Mayflower may you have a safe trip and many more." With that she put the bottle of wine (French 2045 antique) in the airlock and let it be swept away towards the Mayflower.

Mayflower Bridge, Spacedock

 

"Captain 30 seconds until the bottle hits us." Said Ensign Hoshi

"Thank you ensign, prepare for launch, notify Spacedock Flight Control. Prepare to release the moorings and all accompanying tractor beams." Replied Captain Garrison

"We have impact." Replied Ensign Hoshi

"Spacedock Flight Control, this is USS Mayflower requesting permission to launch. Request all moorings and tractor beams disengaged." Said Lt. Madison the Communications officer

"USS Mayflower permission granted all moorings and tractor beams retracted. You are cleared for launch at 1/4 impulse power via  Dock gate #3, have a safe trip."

"Affirmative control, gate #3 1/4 impulse. Mayflower out." Replied Madison

 

The Mayflower shook as he engines were activated and she slowly passed by the conference level which had a huge Panoramic view of the interior of Spacedock. The Mayflower made it's way slowly out the dock gates into the cold vacuum of space.

"Ensign set a course for the Ankaa System" ordered Garrison

"Aye Aye sir, course set in for the Ankaa System, all stations report ready for FTL speed." replied Hoshi

"Punch it."

 

The Mayflower disappeared in a bright flash of blue and sped at high speed towards the Ankaa System. At their current speed they would arrive in several weeks.

Meanwhile the USS Cook scouted the Vega and Tycho Systems, all capable of supporting life. The Federation was almost out of the recession from colonizing but there were dozens if not of hundreds of Star Systems within the Federation's reach. 

 

The Federation continued expanding in all directions.
