OD backgrounds won't color

Whenever I change a dock background to something with colour it stays a shade of grey or black - first time I've experience this. Any suggestions as to a remedy would be appreciated.

Win 7 home premium 32 bit SP1

Screenshot would help.

Do you mean to say when you change skins?

If so, check and be sure the color settings are at default (off).

Not all backgrounds will recolor.

If it is already greyscale, there is no hue to modify.
