Year Limit

what is the year limit on a game in Galactic Civilizations II? has anybody ever gotten past 2239? is it possible to go beyond that because i always achieve victory in mid 2239. Or is that the end of the game?

As far as I know, there is no limit. My longest game lasted until 2252.

Mine never last long, usually ~50 years or much less due to my insane bonuses.

I've read somewhere that the game starts to mess up if you play for extremely long times, but there is no hardcoded year limit that I know of.

My longest game lasted into the seventeenth year; the longest game I've ever heard of before was in the 20s. 50 years is not what I'd call "never lasting long".

my longest game was 53 years, only ending due to a OoM crash.

my shortest was 3 years on a tiny map for testing, crashed when I viewed a corrupt ship.
