Why are there no elfs in the game?

I mean there are already men, orcs, demons/ghosts and stuff. Why are there no elfs? It sounds like such a basic feature for a fantasy game

There are elves in the game, you just don't see them... cause they're sneaky.

They live in forests, and huge % of the forests has been corrupted or destroyed.

You'll think they'll be easier to find when there is even less trees to look through but nope....

There are elves in the game... the Quendar are blood elves and described as such in the lore.
